PERRY COMMON COMMUNITY WATCH WINS 'HONOUR FOR CRIME FIGHTING'
We are a group of Perry Common residents who are taking a stand to “re-own” our estate. We realise that the Police cannot eradicate crime and anti-social behaviour on their own so we are working together to not only reduce crime itself but also to help allay the fear of crime.
Wearing high visibility jackets, we walk around the Estate about 3 times each month. We have no powers and do not challenge or intimidate but we do talk to people and offer to help if we can.
Community Watch has been active since mid 2004 and from the feedback received we are “making a difference”.
