Empowering Women - Weekend residential camp for women by SNM: registered charity no. 1093192
Scores of women from all ages and faith backgrounds sign up every year to a residential weekend retreat which aims to raise their self esteem and boost their confidence.
Organised by the Sikh Nari Manch UK, a Birmingham-based charity, the camp takes place between 30 June-2 July 2006 at Bilberry Hill Residential Centre, Rose Hill, Rednal, Birmingham, B45 8RT.
This is the ninth women camp to be organized by the Sikh Nari Manch and has in the past been hailed a huge success by both organizers and participants. The purpose of the camp is to support the physical, social, mental and spiritual needs of women from all ages and backgrounds and facilitate community cohesion.
The two-day camp will include walking on the hills, yoga, aerobics, Tai Chi, discussions, lectures, workshops, counseling, meditation, chanting and much more. Women are expected to travel from as far afield as Glasgow, London and Edinburgh.
